Greening East is led by Mia Niklasson and Toby Britton, bringing together landscape-led design expertise and decades of practical delivery experience. United by a shared commitment to creating healthier, greener places, they combine thoughtful design, robust systems and a collaborative, hands-on approach.

Mia Niklasson
Mia is an experienced landscape designer and project leader with a strong background in delivering thoughtful, people-centred landscapes across health care, education, public realm, and residential sectors.
She brings a collaborative, hands-on approach to her work and has extensive experience working with NHS Trusts, local councils, schools, charities, and community groups.
Mia has led projects from early stakeholder engagement and funding through to design development and delivery, with a particular focus on wellbeing, biodiversity, and inclusive outdoor spaces.
Her work combines strong horticultural knowledge with a deep understanding of planning, Biodiversity Net Gain, and community engagement.
Toby Britton
Toby has spent over 30 years building, running, and managing successful businesses, with a strong connection to the communities he works in. He takes a practical, hands-on approach and believes in building long-term relationships through trust, clear communication, and collaboration.
Over the years, Toby has worked closely with local councils, schools, and community groups, delivering projects that create lasting value. He has led a wide range of high-profile projects across the City of London and East Anglia, always with a focus on work that benefits both clients and local areas.
His experience spans financial and legal services, education, horticulture, and Business Improvement Districts (BIDs).
